I am Maxine Fischer Becker, LCSW. I have over 20 years of experience in treating a variety of mental health issues.
My approach is to help you figure out what is going on and what treatment you need to feel better and take action. I am a very goal oriented therapist, providing helpful skills, feedback and direction. I counsel using a variety of treatment approaches based on what you need. I use Mindfulness CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy) and a systems approach to help you. I also utilize EMDR, (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) as a tool to help with trauma and other issues. I have developed and led a variety of groups, including Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Groups, and numerous Mindfulness CBT groups.
